How to Determine Your Brand’s Objectives

Remember that magical SWOT analysis that I had you create? Well now it’s time to pull it out again and along with ALL the other things from Marketing 101 & the previous branding section. Why? Oh you’ll need it. Okay lets jump right into this.

Here is the one question you really need to ask yourself about your brand…

1. What is it that your company’s brand wishes to accomplish?
2. What do you want people to say about your brand’s services and/or products?

This is what you want to do…Make a list of these several things that you want your brand to accomplish. Here is an example:

1. Be recognized for the best service
2. Allowing for a better choice
3. Gaining new clients every year
4. Make a healthier cereal

Whatever your objectives are of the brand’s objectives are, start with that. Once you have a list of objectives, check to see if they align with your companies

  • brand values
  • goals
  • SWOT Analysis
  • Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
  • Your Target Audience

Personas
Your Company’s Core Culture

If they match up, then you actually have a much better chance to accomplish your objectives.

Now, you have to really focus on how you’re going to do this. Are you going to:

Attend a tradeshow?
Publish press releases?
Gather people in a big conference room and show them what you have?
